A community-driven foundation working to make sure no life in Cross River State is lost to something that could have been prevented.
Ogar Okrache Save Alive Foundation began as a small circle of volunteers responding to urgent health needs in communities that had little or no access to care. What we saw on those early visits — families choosing between food and medicine, children walking hours to the nearest clinic — convinced us that this work could not stay informal.
We formalised into a registered foundation, built structured programmes around the needs we kept encountering, and opened the door to volunteers, donors and partners who share the same conviction: that every life is worth fighting for, and that fight is often won or lost in the small, practical things — a bag of rice, a bore hole, a free consultation, a bag of school books.
Today, our work spans health, food security, education, clean water and emergency relief — but the instinct behind it hasn't changed since that first call.
To reach vulnerable individuals and communities across Cross River State with timely health, welfare and empowerment support — and to respond fast when life is on the line.
